Ms. Dominick is the Director of Empowerment and Facilitation since October, 2014. Prior to the appointment she served as Senior Investment Facilitation Officer (Advocacy and Publicity) at the NEEC (August 2007- 30th June, 2014). Earlier to joining the NEEC, she was the Economist at the then President’s Office Planning and Privatization and Ministry of Planning, Economy and Empowerment (January 2005 to August 2007). She also served as a Research Scientist at the Ifakara Health Institute, the then Ifakara Health Research and Development Centre (January 2004 – August, 2005); and Assistant Project Coordinator for the Participatory Poverty Assessment Project which was housed at the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) as a Lead Partner (January 2002 –December 2003).
Ms. Dominick has a Masters of Arts in Community Economic Development (MCED) of the Open University of Tanzania (2013); Masters of Arts in Economics of the University of Dar es Salaam (2000), and Bachelor of Arts in Economics of the University of Dar es Salaam (1997). She attended short courses in Women Entrepreneurship Promotion (WEP) – Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands; Participatory Research Methods and Methodologies at the Institute of Development Studies – University of Dar es Salaam. She is also a recipient of scholarships and prizes such as best female student scholarship award of the Department of Economics (University of Dar es Salaam - 1997) and FAO National Second Prize on Essay Competition (1989).
Her profession covers broad range of experiences in Community Economic Development; Economic Empowerment; Entrepreneurship Promotion; Project Design and Management; Research planning and management (methods and methodologies, training and supervision); Micro and macroeconomic policy experience (policy and planning, analysis and interpretation); Government Budgeting Process basing on the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF); Human Resource for Health issues in the public sector (situational analysis and performance management systems); and Trainer of Trainers (TOT).
